Training ON by Default

Unlike some competitors, Grammarly's training setting is ON by default for individual users. You must manually opt out in account settings. Enterprise admins can opt out for entire org. Third-party AI providers are contractually prohibited from training on user content regardless of setting.

Corporate Rebrand: Grammarly → Superhuman

Grammarly, Inc. rebranded its company name to Superhuman Platform Inc. on October 29, 2025. The Grammarly product name is unchanged. Superhuman suite now includes Grammarly, Coda, Superhuman Mail, and Superhuman Go (AI assistant). Privacy policy and terms now reference Superhuman Platform Inc.

Premium Renamed to Pro

Grammarly Premium is now Grammarly Pro. Same features, same price. Pro can now include up to 149 team members, absorbing former Business plan features.

Business Plan Discontinued

The standalone Business plan no longer exists. Teams of 150+ must use Enterprise with custom pricing.

Third-Party AI Protection

While Grammarly may use your content for training (unless opted out), their third-party AI service providers are contractually prohibited from training on user content. This applies to all tiers.

Writing Assistant, Not Content Creator

Grammarly excels at editing and polishing writing. For heavy content creation, Claude or ChatGPT may be better. Grammarly's AI prompts are supplementary to its core proofreading function.
